WRITER, CHEF + PODCAST HOST
RACIST SANDWICH PODCAST
I am a food and pop culture writer and host of two podcasts: Racist Sandwich and BITCH Media’s Popaganda. My work often engages the intersections between what we consume (often literally) and how we see ourselves and our world. I am a graduate of Grinnell College, and I also possess the ragged remains of an MFA in creative nonfiction writing from the University of New Orleans. My writing has appeared in GQ, Eater, Brooklyn Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, VICE Munchies, The Atlas Review, Paste, On She Goes, Edible Manhattan, TASTE, and Bitch.
Currently, I am an 11th Hour Food and Farming Journalism fellow with the University of California—Berkeley. I am the recipient of the Southern Foodways Symposium’s 2018 Smith Fellowship and also attended the New York State Summer Writers Institute as a scholarship recipient. I am also co-writer on a forthcoming graphic novel on entomophagy, culinary mentorship, and queer romance called MEAL.
